1. Outreach & Donations: Support efforts to expand and maintain community partnerships and donations.
Identify and suggest potential businesses, organizations, or groups for outreach and report them to the executive board.
Support the organization of special donation campaigns or seasonal drives when needed.
2. Pantry Operations: Help ensure pantry days run efficiently and provide a welcoming experience.
Assist with leading and supporting volunteers during pantry hours.
Support intake flow and distribution setup.
Troubleshoot minor issues during shifts (crowd flow, supply gaps).
Assist with setup before opening and cleanup after closing.
Help maintain an organized, respectful, and welcoming environment.
3. Inventory & Supplies: Support efforts to keep the pantry well-stocked and organized.
Monitor inventory levels and identify low-stock or high-demand items.
Track commonly requested items (high-need/fast-moving supplies) and report to the executive board.
Assist with organizing and rotating stock.
Communicate supply needs to the Treasurer.
Help connect observed trends to future supply planning.
Monthly Shift Commitment
To ensure consistent leadership presence:
Board Members are required to complete one (1) pantry shift per month.
Shift Options:
Thursday: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Expectations During Shifts
During assigned shifts, Board Members are expected to:
Help guide and support volunteers.
Assist with intake and distribution as needed.
Monitor inventory levels in real time.
Address minor issues independently when appropriate.
Communicate any major concerns or updates to the Executive Board after the shift .
General Expectations
Communicate consistently and respond to messages in a timely manner.
Be reliable and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
Represent the pantry in a professional and community-focused manner.
Support a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all community members.
