Hygiene essentials for every body, every day.

Free hygiene essentials for individuals and families in Champaign County

CLU-W Hygiene Pantry of Champaign County is a nonprofit that was founded in response to the rising cost of essential hygiene products and the growing need among local families. The pantry provides free access to items that support health, dignity, and daily living.

We gladly accept donations of period products, incontinence supplies, body care, haircare products, household supplies, and other hygiene essentials.

By working together, we can help ensure no one in Champaign County has to go without the basic products so many of us rely on every day.

As a newer, small pantry, we are still learning what works best for our organization, our volunteers, and the community we serve.

One policy we trialed was allowing community members to shop for their own household while also picking up items as a proxy for someone outside of their household. After seeing how this worked in practice and looking over our data from intake surveys, we have decided to make a change.

To ensure that our hygiene pantry resources are distributed fairly and reach as many people as possible, we will no longer allow community members to pick up items on behalf of others outside of their household. This change has become necessary due to the increasing demand for our services and the need to manage inventory fairly for all clients.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continue to grow, learn, and make adjustments along the way. As a new pantry, we know that some policies may need to change as we figure out what works best for the pantry and the community we serve.
